Episode #55 Living Your Why

“He who has a why to live can bear almost any how” – Friedrich Nietzsche This week I am talking about your Why: the things you need in your life in order to feel happy and fulfilled. This is what matters most. When you’re constantly busy and it feels as though there aren’t enough hours in the day, taking time to reflect on what matters most to you is so easy to forget and neglect. That’s why this week I want to remind you of the importance of your values and show you how to make them a priority in your life. This might sound indulgent and impractical in light of your daily challenges. But think about where you are now. With all the uncertainty and disruption, what better time is there to think about who you are and what’s important to you, and to make a commitment to honoring that? In this episode:

  1. How my childhood experience shaped my biggest Why
  2. How to discover your values
  3. Why you have a great chance of being happier at work than at home
  4. Fives steps to living your Why
  5. A powerful coaching question to help you live your why

Mentioned in this episode:

  1. Download my guide to discovering your values.
  2. The new book I’m writing this year is on Imposter Syndrome in the BAME (Black Asian and Minority Ethnic) community. If you identify as BAME and have ever felt like an Imposter, I’d love to hear from you – get in touch: caroline@carolineflanagan.com
