This week I’m talking about believe-ability, the word I use to describe your ability to believe in something, before you have proof that it’s true. It’s something many of my coaching clients struggle with. They want proof they are valuable to their employer, for example, before they are willing to believe they are valuable.
But this is the wrong approach. If you want a result (to feel valuable, to get promoted) you need to believe in the result before you have it. Why? Because belief in the result is what drives the action you must take to create that result. Simply put, if I believe I’m valuable, then I show up as valuable and this makes me show up with the energy, focus and commitment I need to create valuable results.
