Episode #135 Assuming Failure

When you’ve been trying to build your book of business, or get better work allocation, or achieve any other result in your career and there’s no proof it’s working, what do you do? Do you persevere? Do you invest more time and effort? Or do you assume failure, give up or change tack?

This week on Legal Imposters we’re talking about Assuming Failure – how easily we do it when we don’t get immediate results and how negatively it affects your likelihood of success when you jump to it too soon.

Without the evidence that what we’re doing is working, it’s natural to assume failure. But abandoning a strategy before you’ve given it long enough to work doesn’t get you to your goal faster. It risks pushing you further away.

If you want to avoid this happening to you, tune in to the latest episode: Assuming Failure.

Here’s what we cover:

(1) why it’s so easy to assume failure

(2) the limitations of assuming failure and why you want to resist it

(3) what to do when met with none or only partial results, to give your strategy the best chance of success

Happy listening
